1. No one is saving the Los Angels Lakers
Sorry Magic - I know your tweets were inspiring but Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Paul George and so forth and so on are not going to be wearing Purple & Gold next season. The Lakers suck, and they are going to suck until this young core becomes good. I don't expect a Major Free Agent to sign with the Lakers until Ingram is 25.
2. The Brooklyn Nets are about to become the worst team in history, and there is no bright side.
The trade that sent Paul Pierce & Kevin Garnett to the nets cost them EVERYTHING, and its going to start costing the rest of the NBA because we are not far off having what could be considered a D-League team in the Association. The 3rd overall pick in last years draft is just the beginning. Next season Boston & Brooklyn swap picks, then the following year Boston straight up own the Nets pick. So in other words Brooklyn won't be getting the next Ben Simmons, Harry Giles or Karl Anthony Towns, or ANY young future star until 2019. What about a trade, I hear you ask? Go onto NBA.com right now and look at their roster & tell me if you can find anything that could fetch you even a late 1st round pick.
3. There are only 3 teams that can win the NBA Finals next year.
The Warriors, the Spurs or the Cavs. KD will be either on one of those teams or jerking off in the Philippines come next June.
4. Matthew Dellavedova is on the verge of cult status
There is just something awesome about Delly. He could sleep with your wife & it would be totally her fault, you wouldn't even be mad at him. In Australia we love him because he has battled & made it to the biggest stage. He's shown the kind of hustle & attitude that resonates with us. In a team worth over $100 Million per year he gets paid less than 1%. Yet he is the first one on the floor for the loose ball. He literally put himself in hospital after an NBA finals game last season with dehydration, he played so hard that he couldn't walk. The legend of Matthew Dellavedova is simmering & on the verge of breaking out in a big way… The dude still drives a Fucking Mazda!
5. Steph Curry has already peaked
Steph will turn 29 before the next round of Playoffs, he's had his right ankle surgically repaired three times and has had multiple sprains on his left. Now throw in the recent ankle, elbow & knee issues and you have to question just how much the MVP's body can handle in this league moving forward. Couple this with the strategy that Cleveland successfully used in the finals by attacking him and making him defend on most possessions and you can see the Chefs days of jacking up miracle 3's from half court then hiding on defence could be over.
6. Thon Maker was drafted by the Bucks because he shares the same agent as Jason Kidd
Here at The Fuzz we love Thon, we love any Australian in the league & we will support & hope for the best for all of our players... But we also will call a spade a spade. And Thon Maker firstly, is clearly 23 (not 19 as advertised). On Reddit a photo has been shared of Thons year book you can find photos of his High School friends on Schoolies in 2012, and others who's age (23) is on display. Unless the Maker is a genius & was able to skip three grades the guy is 23. On top of this he has the same agent as Jason Kidd. You think it might be better for Makers career (and in turn his agent) being taken as a lottery pick or late in the 2nd round? But lets be real, who cares? He is still going to be awesome & we are team Thon all the way!
7. Kobe will come out of retirement and play for the Knicks…. But wait there's more!
Phil Jackson has an amazing plan and i am going to tell you what it is! It won't be until 2018 but it will happen. You think Jordan can come back and play for the Wizards but Kobe can't come back and play for the Knicks? Besides if Phil Jackson can pull this off he will sell out MSG every night! Step 1 - Dump Derek Roses Salary & don't sign any guaranteed deals this summer beyond 1 year rentals. This will clear up over 75 Million in cap space for the summer of 2018. Anthony & Porzingas will be the only two under contract. Assuming the Cavs don't win next year LeBron is going to put the Dream team together, and he's doing it in NY, but only if Phil Jackson comes back to the bench. James, Cp3 & Wade can all sign for around 20M each joining Anthony & Porzingas. Kobe will come out of retirement on the vet minimum, leaving them around $15 Million to fill out the roster. Kobe will give them a solid 15 min a night as well as making it impossible to guard last shot situations. The Knicks will also have a 1st round pick that year and the rest of the roster will be players literally BEGGING to play. In fact there will be some shady under there table shit where solid role players like JR & Iggy will be actually paying the Banana Boat crew just for a spot on the team. Keep in mind, this technically can happen…. technically.
Knicks 2018 Roster
PG - Chris Paul / future 1st round pick
SG - Dwayne Wade / JR Smith
SF - LeBron James / Kobe Bryant
PF - Carmello Anthony / Andre Iguodala
C - Kristaps Porzingas / Pau Gasol
